The Gordon Research Seminar on Archaea: Ecology, Metabolism and Molecular Biology is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and early career scientists from around to globe to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas. The focus of this meeting is to bring together young scientists from a broad range of disciplines from related, but often non-intersecting fields, thereby promoting cross-fertilization of ideas. The seminar will cover a wide variety of topics including diversity and evolution of Archaea, the emerging trends in archaeal research in the fields of genomics, proteomics, metabolisms and virus-host interaction, as well as biotechnological and industrial applications of these microorganisms and their enzymes.
