Abstract

It gives me a great pleasure to extend to you all a very warm welcome to attend the forthcoming 20th ISNACC in the millennium city, Gurugram. It is a sprawling IT hub with wide roads and magnificent architectural high rise buildings and rapid metro system. It also harbours a multitude of corporate hospitals where super speciality disciplines particularly neuroanaesthesiology is vibrant. These hospitals not only cater to the need of Indian population but are an active centre for medical tourism. The art and science of the Neuroanaesthesia and Neurocritical Care is dynamic. This is advancing at an amazing speed. To keep pace with the advancements in clinical pharmacology, monitoring techniques and research methodology so as to practice evidence based medicine, conference like this is highly imperative. Deliberations from renowned speakers, workshops on neurocritical care, neurosimulation, Transcranial Doppler and other neuromonitoring modalities will be the highlight of this conference. The theme of the conference is Evolving Frontiers in Neuroanaesthesiology and Neurocritical Care which, I sincerely hope, the experienced as well as novice in the field of Neuroanaesthesia will accrue the maximum benefit. Gurugram being in the vicinity of New Delhi and is a part of National Capital Region. This city is very close to airport and well connected with rail and road transport system. Metro rapid transport system is also nearby to the venue of conference. The conference will be organized in one of the renowned five star hotels of the town which is strategically located on the national highway near airport and well connected to New Delhi. The venue also houses one of the biggest mall of Delhi NCR, that is, Ambience Mall. Weather in February is pleasant with fading winters which I am sure will provide an impetus to attend this conference to make it a memorable one.
