Abstract

Dear Colleagues, From February 21 to 23, 2019, the 11th German Cardiac Diagnostic Days will take place in Leipzig, for the 8th time as an interdisciplinary event under the aegis of the DRG Cardiac and Vascular Diagnostics Group and the DGK CT and MRI working groups AG Cardiovascular Nuclear Medicine of the DGN. We cordially invite you to the KONGRESSHALLE am Zoo. The charm of this historic building as well as the close connection of workshops and sessions make the German Cardiac Diagnostic Days appear in their familiar familiar light. As in 2018, the workshops will be certified and accredited by the DRG as well as the DGK according to the different levels. We are pleased to be able to offer you many highly interesting workshops again this year, for example the proven echo workshop or the workshop on the topic of MRI with pacemaker wearers, which met with an exceptionally high response for the first time in 2018. After last year-s break, the workshops in nuclear cardiology will be offered again. Cardiovascular imaging has become indispensable in everyday clinical practice for diagnosing, initiating therapy and estimating prognosis. Non-invasive cardiac imaging with echocardiography, cardiac MRI, CT and also nuclear medicine provides us with ever-better fundamentals, without which one can no longer manage in clinical routine. Due to the rapid technical progress, however, there are always new aspects that have to be classified in everyday clinical practice together with the updated guidelines. With the focus on "imaging for the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment planning of cardiovascular diseases", we want to emphasize once again the clinical everyday life across all modalities and hope to have put together another exciting and appealing program for you. For this we would like to cordially invite newcomers to cardiac imaging as well as experts from radiology, cardiology, cardiac surgery, internal medicine, general medicine and nuclear medicine to Leipzig! We would like to invite you to enrich the conference program by submitting scientific contributions! The submission of your abstracts and clinical case reports for the interactive case demonstration is now available online at www.kardiodiagnostik.de until November 30, 2018. The 4 best abstracts will again be awarded and presented as a lecture during the conference. Furthermore, the authors of all accepted abstracts should be given the opportunity to present their scientific results in "moderated poster sessions". The opportunity for continuous self-study at computer workstations in the case collection of the DRG will also be continued during the symposium days. Especially for cardiologists, the more specific content of the live cases will focus on invasive imaging and control in interventions in structural heart disease or percutaneous coronary intervention, complemented by the LIVE demonstrations of relevant CT and MRI examinations. Furthermore, it is very important to us to repeatedly offer the successful MTRA program in complete form of the VMTBcertified modules I-III from Thursday to Saturday. We look forward to the continuation of the conference in Leipzig as well as to exciting, content-rich and entertaining days with you! With warm regards on behalf of the entire Organizing Committee Your Prof. Dr. Matthias Gutberlet
