Abstract

Participants from about 50 countries, including chest radiologists and other health professionals involved in thoracic imaging, will share their knowledge in chest diseases and discuss new scientific findings and advances in imaging techniques. There will also be presentations of guidelines and recommendations for appropriate practice in chest imaging. The WCTI scientific program will cover topics such as lung cancer screening, pulmonary embolism and drug-induced lung diseases. Possibilities in radiation dose reduction, especially in pediatric thoracic imaging, will be discussed, as well as the fields of chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD), asthma, infection, and coronary and cardiovascular diseases.New developments in interventional radiology, positron emission tomography (PET), X-ray computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) will top up the congress.
