Abstract

This FASEB Science Research Conference focuses on understanding the molecular and cellular mechanisms of signaling in cancer in order to develop effective therapies. Specifically, the driving force behind this meeting is that understanding cancer at the molecular and cellular level opens the arena for novel therapeutic strategies. The meeting will cover cancer from the biochemical to the therapeutic level. Focus on genomics, spatial aspects of signaling, and patient data will be a new strength of the meeting, which formerly focused on lipid signaling in cancer. This conference broadens the mechanistic/biochemical aspect historically represented at the meeting to cover all signaling pathways relevant to developing therapies for cancer. The conference will provide ample opportunities for informal interaction to foster collaboration and promote the exchange of ideas
