Abstract

The 28th international conference of the  international Society for Medical Innovation and Technology (iSMIT)  will be held at the prestigious campus of the Delft University of Technology in the historic town of Delft, The Netherlands from 5 - 8 October, 2016. The conference is hosted by the Medical Delta consortium, consisting of the academic medical centers and universities of Leiden, Rotterdam and Delft, and the life sciences industry. Within this thriving open innovation network of medical practitioners and clinical engineers, the 2016 iSMIT conference will be combined with the 4th edition of the  Design of Medical Devices - Europe (DMD-EU) conference. This synergetic approach is bound to offer one of the most exciting and significant meetings in the field of medical technology development. The topics for iSMIT/DMD-EU 2016 include, but are not limited to: Advances in Endoscopic Surgery Gynecology, Computer Aided Planning Navigation, Endovascular Devices, Exoskeletons and Orthotic Devices, Hand Held Devices, Intelligent Operating Rooms, MR Guided Interventions, Sensors and Medical Robotics, Training and Simulation.
