The Gordon Research Seminar on Bioorganic Chemistry is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas while giving them the opportunity to become acquainted with their peers before the GRC. The 2018 Bioorganic Gordon Research Seminar will focus on the discovery, implementation and outlook of chemical tools that are currently being used to uncover questions surrounding the molecular details of disease states in biological systems. This GRS will feature career development and mentorship components as well as original oral presentations from graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and keynote speaker, Professor Kevan Shokat (University of California, San Francisco), a pioneer in the field of bioorganic chemistry whose revolutionary research encompasses encoding kinase signaling pathways to combat undruggable biological targets.
