The Gordon Research Seminar on Chemical Reactions at Surfaces is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas. The focus of this meeting is on both computational and experimental methods being used to address novel issues in science and technology where surface science and chemical reactions at the surface are the unifying factor. This includes fundamental and applied studies investigating catalysis, electronic materials, environmental science, electrochemistry, solar energy conversion, biomaterials, and nanoscience. Several sessions addressing a diverse range of surface science applications will be devoted to oral and poster presentations by attendees. Afterwards a panel consisting of several scientists will provide a perspective on the different career paths that are available and the steps needed to attain them. All participants are strongly encouraged to attend the associated Gordon Research Conference "Chemical Reactions at Surfaces" that takes place immediately following the GRS.
