Abstract

The 57th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control will be held Monday through Wednesday, December 17-19, 2018 at the Fontainebleau in Miami Beach, FL, USA. The conference will be preceded by technical workshops on Sunday, December 16, 2018. The CDC is recognized as the premier scientific and engineering conference dedicated to the advancement of the theory and practice of systems and control. The CDC annually brings together an international community of researchers and practitioners in the field of automatic control to discuss new research results, perspectives on future developments, and innovative applications relevant to decision making, automatic control, and related areas. The 57th CDC will feature contributed and invited papers, as well as tutorial sessions and workshops. The IEEE CDC is hosted by the IEEE Control Systems Society (CSS) in cooperation with the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM), the Japanese Society for Instrument and Control Engineers (SICE). Miami Beach is a coastal resort city in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. The municipality is located on natural and man-made barrier islands between the Atlantic Ocean and Biscayne Bay, the latter of which separates the Beach from Miami. The neighborhood of South Beach, comprising the southernmost 2.5 square miles (6.5 km2) of Miami Beach, along with downtown Miami and the Port of Miami, collectively form the commercial center of South Florida. It has been one of America-s pre-eminent beach resorts since the early 20th century. In 1979, Miami Beach-s Art Deco Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Art Deco District is the largest collection of Art Deco architecture in the world and comprises hundreds of hotels, apartments and other structures erected between 1923 and 1943. Mediterranean, Streamline Moderne and Art Deco are all represented in the District.
