Ants are one of best architects in the animal kingdom. Ants build elaborate colony structure by hollowing out the area with their mandibles grain by grain. If we just look at an individual ant then it's really difficult to understand how they make such complicate colony. The most important thing is that the ants don't get the “global system” however their local interactions results in such a complex system. They do this without a blueprint, without a leader and in total darkness. To get a glimpse of ant colony people pure molten metal, wax etc and make casts to ant colonies. But, how ant's build it is still unknown.
