Swagat finished his integrated Masters in Physics from NISER, Bhubaneswar, where he worked on Topology and Differential Geometry of gauge theories in Particle Physics for his Masters thesis. He was a research scholar in Astroparticle physics at the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA), Trieste, Italy, for one year before joining IUCAA, Pune, for his PhD in 2015. Currently he is a final year PhD Scholar and Senior Research Fellow at IUCAA working on theoretical Cosmology under the supervision of Prof. Varun Sahni. His research work includes initial conditions for the universe, Dark matter, Dark Energy, Cosmic Inflation, Primordial Black Holes and Primordial Gravitational Waves.
