Abstract

You are cordially invited to participate in the joint conference, 14th International Conference on Atomically Controlled Surfaces, Interfaces and Nanostructures (ACSIN-14)/26th International colloquium on Scanning Probe Microscopy (ICSPM26), which will be held at Sendai International Center in Japan from October 21 to 25, 2018. ACSIN and ICSPMwere both organized originally by Thin Film and Surface Physics Division in The Japan Society of Applied Physics, but have been developed independently. The host country of ACSIN has been determined based on a policy of continental rotation among Asia, Europe and America every two years, while ICSPM has been held annually in Japan (twice in Hawaii). In consideration of further development of nano-science and technology, the organizing committee has decided to hold these two conferences together to strengthen their relations and meet the needs of the times. This conference is opened for the scientists and engineers in the fields, such as condensed matter physics, surface physics, molecular physics, inorganic and organic chemistry, and biology. We hope for the participation of everyone active in the fields to report on the latest developments in a lively, stimulating and interactive atmosphere. Active participation of young researchers, especially students, is strongly encouraged.
