The first meeting of the Gordon Research Seminar (GRS) on the Micro and Nanoscale Phase Change Heat Transfer will be a new platform for young researchers to explore fundamental heat transfer mechanisms in phase change systems. The seminar is a unique opportunity for graduate students, post-docs, and early-career industrial scientists to present their unpublished work, share their experience, and build a strong network. This GRS brings together multi-disciplinary expertise world-wide to construct active discussions and inspire new idea in the heat transfer community. The topics in this conference will range from measurement and analysis to application enhancement of heat transfer mechanisms at nano and micro scales. The discussions throughout the oral and poster sessions will provide insight for device performance in a wide spectrum of applications including water desalination, data center cooling, heater surface modification, heat pipe design, energy efficiency, and much more.
