Abstract

Our goal is to plan an exciting meeting that includes both new, rapidly developing topics as well as current ones of interest to the materials science and technology community. Broader impact programming at MRS meetings is intended to extend the influence of scientific research to the quality of life and society at large. Examples of MRS objectives leading to broader impact and the related events/action items include, but are not limited to: education and training of the next generation of materials researchers, public outreach, career and professional development, impact of materials research on the US and global economies, and efforts to broaden diversity and inclusion of underrepresented groups.
