Abstract

The Bioorganic Chemistry Gordon Research Conference (GRC) was established in 1992 to bring together academic and industrial scientists pursuing challenges at the interface of chemistry and biology. The 2019 meeting will focus on the translational aspects of chemical biology. Speakers and participants will illustrate examples of how methods in chemical biology, including synthetic chemistry, cellular and molecular biology, functional genomics, proteomics, biochemistry, biophysics, and computational science have unlocked new opportunities for drug discovery and drug target validation. Special attention will be placed on how global efforts in chemical biology are becoming embedded within the pharmaceutical industry and being used as a core discipline for all translational research. Conferees are encouraged to present posters. Poster presenters should submit an abstract with their applications on the GRC website. In addition, a number of poster presenters will be invited to present short talks. As this meeting usually over-subscribes, submission of applications in early 2019 is strongly encouraged.
