Abstract

The Gordon Research Seminar on Interior of the Earth is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas. In this GRS, the focus is "Tectonic regimes and their manifestation on terrestrial planets". Various geophysical and geochemical methods are available to probe the outer shells of the Earth and other planets. From the oceans of Enceladus to the structure of non-silicate based exoplanets to understanding the Earth-s lithosphere-asthenosphere boundary (LAB), there is much unknown of the shallow structure of all the flavors and types of terrestrial planets and their tectonic regimes. We encourage the exploration of recent and cutting-edge research on the nature of outer shells in the Earth and other planetary bodies, which can include and not limited to origin, material properties, and dynamics. We welcome all fields that explore these topics.
