Abstract

Dear colleagues and friends, On behalf of the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE), I invite you to take part in Geomodel 2019, the 21st EAGE conference on oil and gas geological exploration and development that takes place on September 9-13 in Gelendzhik. Russian Geology and Geophysics have vast and long-lasting traditions and this is your chance to become a part of it. The conferences EAGE organizes in Russia attract more and more attention of professionals in the oil industry. More and more people come to Russia to deliver reports, study and work. More and more professionals cite our publications. In my opinion what makes Geomodel different from any other conference is the opportunities for communication and development it offers to young professionals. At the conference, they can both learn a lot of new things and participate in scientific discussions, make themselves visible in their profession. For many of us, Geomodel is a place where we reflect on what has been done during a previous year, estimate our success and failures and try to understand what has been achieved by our colleagues. I invite you to participate in the event, so you can come and share your experience and discuss your research and practices. Our conference gives you a unique chance to measure your achievements against those of your competitors and opponents and a leap forward to future discoveries. Working together we can say a new word about old methods and developments and help each of us discover a lot of new and interesting things through sharing our thoughts and ideas.
