Abstract

The Gordon Research Seminar on Microbial Adhesion and Signal Transduction is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas. This GRS will focus on highlighting new research and methods in microbial interaction and communication within microbial communities in complex environments within the hosts, biofilm structures or abiotic surfaces. Attendees will be encouraged to present and discuss unpublished findings among their peers and selected mentors (keynote speakers, discussion leaders, and other senior scientists). This meeting will cover cutting-edge topics in bacterial membranes, nanomachines, signaling molecules, resistance, pathogenesis, and include a career session to prepare junior scientists for the following Gordon Research Conference and beyond.
