Gordon Research Seminars offer a platform for graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and other scientists with comparable levels of experience to highlight their work in an informal setting. Initiated in 2015, the GRS on Nucleosides, Nucleotides and Oligonucleotides provides its attendees a unique two-day opportunity to share research data, gain invaluable feedback and build lifelong professional networks with fellow participants and leaders from academia and industry. The scientific sessions of the 2019 GRS will highlight the latest advances in small molecule and oligomer research including discovery and development of anticancer and antiviral drugs, small molecule recognition of DNA and RNA, chemical biology of nucleic acids and modified oligonucleotides, DNA modification and repair, genome editing and targeted gene therapy. The scientific program will feature three themed sessions including a keynote lecture and mentorship panel comprised of representatives from academia and industry to facilitate career development of participants.
