The 2019 Gordon Research Seminar on Alcohol-Induced End Organ Diseases will provide a unique forum for a diverse range of trainees, including graduate students and post-docs, who are studying alcohol-related tissue injury. The trainee-led format of the GRS will build on the open format of GRC, allowing trainees to share significant unpublished work and have ample opportunity for in-depth discussions with their peers, helping to build the future generation of alcohol researchers. This newly approved GRS will bring together trainees from diverse disciplines to discuss state-of-the-art developments in the mechanisms for alcohol-induced tissue injury, innovative translational/therapeutic developments, and new/novel models used in the field. In addition to facilitating new and exciting research developments for the future, attendees of the GRS will find a sense of community prior to the start of the GRC that will foster connections between trainees.
