Abstract

The Indian Association of Cardiovascular – Thoracic Surgeons (IACTS) conducts its annual conference in the month of February. The focus of the conference is to exchange various ideas and advancements in the field of Cardiovascular and Thoracic surgery. The annual conference of IACTS – IACTSCON 2018 was held in Vizag. It was a wonderful academic feast with more than 1300 participants. The Annual meeting of Asian Society for Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery (ASCVTS) 2018 is being held in Moscow, Russia during May. Nearly 1000 participants are expected to attend this meeting. The annual meetings of ASCVTS include the joint AATS (the American Association for Thoracic Surgery) – ASCVTS postgraduate course, symposiums and lectures on cutting-edge technology, hands-on sessions, etc. Every year, the meeting will be held at various parts of the globe. IACTSCON 2019 will be a major event as the 65th Annual Conference of IACTS will be held jointly with the 27th Annual Conference of ASCVTS. This combined meeting – IACTSCON 2019 will be held from 21st to 24th February at Hotel ITC, Grand Chola, Chennai. The focus of IACTSCON 2019 will be on “Re-Inventing Cardiothoracic Surgery”. The Organising committee is planning a very professionally driven program that is both interactive and interesting. In addition, a post graduate course will be conducted jointly by the AATS/ASCVTS/IACTS for the young surgeons. It will be a 4 days conference and the deliberations in the conference are planned in the most comprehensive manner featuring the latest developments in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery. The meeting would be attended by nearly 1800 faculty and delegates from across the world.
