The Gordon Research Seminar on Neural Crest and Cranial Placodes is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas. The study of the neural crest and placodes is becoming increasingly interdisciplinary with experimental procedures and ideas coming from many different branches of science. This meeting will focus on the integrative efforts to study the development, evolution and the disease state of the neural crest and placodes. Scientific sessions will include oral and poster presentations from early career scientists with ample time for discussion in an effort to promote dialogue and potential collaborations. The meeting will end with a mentorship session featuring junior and mid-career principal investigators that aims to help the career development of junior scientists.
