Abstract

The Executive Committee of the Division of Organic Chemistry of the American Chemical Society and the Department of Chemistry at Indiana University invite you to attend the 46th National Organic Chemistry Symposium. This biennial event will be held from Sunday, June 23 to Thursday, June 27, 2019 on the beautiful campus of Indiana University, Bloomington. This is the third time the event will be held in Bloomington. It was first held there in 1961 and most recently in 2003 where over 1100 people attended. You can find some of the latest information on the upcoming NOS on Twitter with #NOS2019. Indiana University was founded on January 20, 1820, making it one of the oldest public universities in the nation. To celebrate its Bicentennial, IU has developed a multi-year, multi-campus program that will recognize and chronicle IU history, showcase the university’s significant contributions to the world, and set a course for the next century. For more information about the Bicentennial program, please visit https://200.iu.edu. Several lectures from the 2013, 2015 and 2017 NOS are currently available to Organic Division members. A total of 11 of the 15 speakers from the 2017 NOS agreed to release videos of their lectures (once their results are patented or published). Thus, they are being released to members over the span of a year (or more) from the Organic Division‘s Main web site. The program books from all previous NOS are available from the NOS History page. Register for the 2019 NOS using the Indiana University Conference Services portal. The National Organic Chemistry Symposium is the premier event sponsored by the Division of Organic Chemistry to highlight recent advances in organic chemistry, and provides a breadth of programming and opportunities that you won’t want to miss. Please plan to join us in 2019!
