Abstract

The 16th Pacific Polymer Conference (PPC16) will be held at the Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre from 8 to 12 December 2019. Along with the Council of the Pacific Polymer Federation (PPF) and the PPC16 Organizing Committee, I warmly welcome you as the Garden City Singapore hosts this biennial international event for the first time in PPC’s history. 2019 marks the 30th year anniversary of the PPC, which has emerged as a leading international conference in polymer science and engineering. To celebrate this historical milestone, the PPC16 Committee, together with our sponsors and supporters, have put together a compelling program with a comprehensive coverage of topics ranging from frontiers in polymer chemistry, polymer physics, polymer processing and engineering. There will be an emphasis on sustainable and environmental-friendly implementation of polymer materials in key areas such as (i) Consumer & Healthcare Products, (ii) Energy & Electronics, (iii) Automotive & Aerospace, and (iv) Engineering Manufacturing. Participants of PPC will experience a vibrant cross-disciplinary feast of fundamental science, new methodologies, emerging concepts, innovative technologies, and new applications of advanced polymers.
