Abstract

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, dear members of the Food Microbiology and Hygiene Section, on behalf of the Executive Board of the merged Section on Food Microbiology and Hygiene, I cordially invite you to Kiel for our 18th symposium "Food Microbiology". It will take place from 07. to 09.10.2019. As in previous years, the symposium will once again provide a comprehensive overview of new developments in food microbiology. The thematic diversity ranges: from protective crops and fermentations to spoilage and pathogens, from the legal basis to method development and diagnostics to quality control, from phages to bacteria to eukaryotic microorganisms. Our technical symposium is characterized by a close networking of science and practice and offers you many opportunities for participation and participation: Present your current results in a lecture or poster and discuss with colleagues and interested parties in an inspiring and informal atmosphere. Present your company and introduce your product innovations in our industrial exhibition, and thus make or deepen valuable contacts! We are looking forward to getting to know you personally and to see you again in Kiel!
