Abstract

As the cradle of many, and perhaps even most of the stars in the sky, star clusters hold an special place in modern astrophysics and they serve as testbeds for theories of star formation, stellar structure, stellar populations, stellar dynamics and much more, including theories of galaxy formation. The Chilean community has been gathering in small meetings on this topic in previous years and this meeting aims to continue the tradition with the goal to strengthen this area of research and encourage collaborations. This small conference is open to all astronomers working on star clusters and related fields, with special emphasis on those working in Chile. Our conference room will limit us to accept about 40 participants.
