The Gordon Research Seminar on Autophagy in Stress, Development and Disease is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas. This 2020 GRS will emphasize on mechanisms related to canonical and non-canonical autophagic activity regulation in normal and pathological states. We are very eager to exchange notions and findings regarding the following subjects: 1) basic knowledge of autophagy; 2) mechanistic insights into basal and selective autophagy regulation; 3) pathogenic mechanisms associated to autophagy dysfunction and 4) autophagy-independent functions of autophagy-related genes. To nurture our professional development, we will host a mentorship session, where we will be discussing different career paths inside and outside academia with a broad set of experts.
