The First EAGE Conference on Seismic Inversion will be an event of interest to geoscientists working in many roles in industry and academia. Seismic inversion is a key process used extensively in exploration, production and geohazard studies. Inversion provides a way to visualize and analyze data at higher resolution than standard seismic, it facilitates better estimations of reservoir properties and acts as a link between rock physics and seismically interpreted structure models, ultimately improving the interpretation efficiency. The latest advances, innovative technologies that solve difficult and complex problems will be presented as well as case studies and practical applications demonstrating the recent and established inversion methods.
