Abstract

This educational program will provide practicing physicians and other healthcare providers with in-depth discussion and case-based learning about coronary artery disease. Preventive topics will include a discussion and debate on the latest and controversial recommendations for treatment of hyperlipidemia as well as the growing controversy on E-cigarettes, diet, and lifestyle. Throughout the program multiple challenging cases of acute coronary syndrome, revascularization dilemmas will be presented. Emphasis will be placed upon take-home messages offered by expert faculty. Case-based presentations will be complemented by state-of-the-art lectures covering topics across the spectrum of coronary artery disease, including  the latest advances in medical, interventional, and surgical management. A mini symposium will review the radial approach to angiography and intervention as an alternative to the femoral approach. Case-based discussions will highlight “best practice” for optimal patient outcomes.
