The Young Atom Opticians (YAO) conference is a yearly meeting, organized by and for PhD candidates in the field of atomic, molecular and optical physics. The meeting, which is aimed at both experimental and theoretical physicists, is an excellent platform for young researchers to present their work and to establish networks among postgraduate researchers in the European atomic physics community in a relaxed atmosphere. The participants of the conference are usually young PhD candidates, but the conference is also open to master students or other young scientists in the field of AMO physics. The number of participants will be limited to about 90.
