Abstract

This FASEB Science Research Conference showcases internationally-recognized investigators using state-of-the-art technologies in genetics, bioinformatics, transgenesis, imaging, and high throughput a�oeomicsa�� (e.g., proteomics). As smooth muscle dysfunction underlies many acute and adaptive disease processes such as cardiovascular disease, asthma, kidney failure, incontinence, and inflammation, the investment of the field with newer technologies and developments has created an extremely healthy and interactive environment at the meeting. The program has been designed to promote attendance of smooth muscle biologists working on a wide range of areas and smooth muscle types. Our goal is to have graduate students, scientists, post-doctoral fellows, and physician-scientists attend the meeting.
