Abstract

The Gordon Research Seminar on Signaling by Adhesion Receptors is a unique forum for early career researchers, ranging from graduate students to postdoctoral fellows and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education, to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas. This interdisciplinary meeting will focus on adhesional structure and function, and adhesion mechanobiology and signaling in development, health, and disease, bringing together researchers from diverse fields in biology, bioimaging, biophysics, and bioengineering. This GRS will not only provide an outstanding opportunity for trainees to present their work, receive constructive feedback, network with peers, and receive career development advice, but will also prepare attendees for the subsequent GRC, facilitating higher levels of trainee participation and leadership throughout the GRC.
