The Gordon Research Seminar on Signal Transduction by Engineered Extracellular Matrices is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas. The Seminar is conducted in an informal setting designed to foster both academic discussions and social interactions among peers with an emphasis on developing the scientific network of trainees. The focus of this meeting is to bring together our understanding of cellular responses to the microenvironment via the extracellular matrix. Topics covered by an interdisciplinary selection of speakers will span eletromechanical and biochemical cues provided by engineered matrices to manipulate and understand cell behavior as well as the translational applications of these engineered matrices in the clinical realm.
