The Department of Life Sciences at Shiv Nadar University is organizing a 5-day residential, practical training workshop titled "CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing in model and non-model organisms from theory to the bench” from 24th to 28th May, 2018. The workshop will provide hands-on training in genome editing of mammalian cells as well as of infectious pathogens using the state-of-the-art CRISPR/Cas9 system. Participants will learn to develop a CRISPR/Cas project suitable to answering their research question, identify and design optimal CRISPR targets using bioinformatics tools, generation of gene knockouts, and validation of knockouts using the most current technologies.
