The Gordon Research Seminar on Proteoglycans is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas. The GRS is a small group setting that fosters open discussion about innovative research through formal presentation and social interaction. The Proteoglycans GRS will cover topics related to the functional aspects of proteoglycans and their regulatory roles in cellular processes. The meeting will address basic research questions about biosynthesis and structure of proteoglycans, their effect on signaling and other processes in development and disease, as well as therapeutic and translational applications. The GRS will also feature a career panel session during which mentors at various stages of their careers will share experiences and answer career-focused questions from the trainees. The Proteoglycans GRS will be held in conjunction with the Gordon Research Conference on Proteoglycans, and we encourage applicants to submit abstracts to both meetings.
