Aggregation Induced Emission (AIE) is an innovative concept where a series of molecules which are non-emissive in solution are induced to emit strongly in the aggregate or solid state. The weak emission of AIE fluorogens as molecular species, and their bright fluorescence as nanoscopic aggregates differentiates them from conventional organic luminophores and inorganic nanoparticles, making them ideal candidates for optical, electronic, energy and biomedical applications. If you are interested in learning more about this exciting area of research, why not attend our free Tutorial Lectures? These lectures are open for all to attend, even if you do not attend the rest of the conference.
