Abstract

In March of 2018 took place in Cologne, Germany, the Spring School "Tropical Geometry meets Representation Theory", an event that aimed to create an space where the young researchers from both representation theory and tropical geometry could meet and discuss about the recent results connecting both areas. Given the success of that first meeting, it was decided the organisation of a second edition of the meeting. The workshop "Tropical Geometry meets Representation Theory II" is the promissed follow-up. It will take in Leicester, United Kingdom, from the 8th to the 12th of April 2019. During this week there will be two introductory courses of topics laying in the frontier of Representation Theory and Geometry. One of them will be given by Daniel Labardini from UNAM, Mexico, who will tell us about Cluster Algebras and Surfaces. The other will be given by Omid Amini from École Polythecnique, France, who will give an introduction to Toric Varieties. The rest of the program will be completed with 25 min talks given by the Early Career Reseachers attending the conference. Then, if you are a PhD student or you finished your PhD no more than 5 years ago, you are highly encouraged to send us a title and abstract about your research. If we have more abstracts than available slots, we will organise a poster session where those that are not giving a talk can present their results.
