Makhatha walks us through her career journey, starting from humble beginnings fueled by dreams, hope and faith to turn her early curiosity into becoming a material scientist.
She shares some of the important research projects underway in the department, which have strong practical implications in industry from the automotive sector to the mining industry and health space.
