If El Niños happen twice as often in the future, what happens to seabirds?

Doubling the frequency of El Niños unexpectedly resulted in higher population numbers and a lower chance of extinction for Brandt's cormorants, a recent study found. Does that mean climate change could actually be good for seabirds? Not so fast.
